Details

1. Wrist measurement

The circumference of your wrist will determine the length of your strap and allow for the correct placement of the adjustment holes, ensuring your strap fits comfortably. Please use our provided tape measure, as it has been designed to give the most accurate measurement possible.

To measure your wrist, open your hand – palm facing up – and spread out your fingers. Wrap the measuring tape around your wrist to a snug fit, and record the measurement to the nearest mm.

2. Leather

Take your time looking through your selected swatches – we recommend placing each over your current strap to determine which best suits the case and dial. We also recommend placing against your wrist and some favoured items of clothing to get a sense of how the final strap may sit alongside.

Our leather options have been selected to ensure your strap will look and feel fantastic and have great longevity. Samples will give a very good idea of the final result; however, as leather is a natural material, the final strap may show slight differences.

3. Strap type

Please note that some leathers may only be available in selected styles.

4. Edge finish

Edge finishing provides protection and can add a unique accent to your strap.

5. Strap point

We offer three options of strap points, each hand-cut and finished to your specification.

6. Stitch pattern

Consider the character you wish to bring to your strap and whether it would benefit from a classic stitch pattern or something more individual. All stitch patterns show a traditional saddle stitch. Please note that the buckle end will be secured with a wrapped stitch unless otherwise requested.

7. Stitch colour and style

As well as the three stitching styles, there are many colours to choose from (all in 0.45mm waxed polyester). Take your time to decide if you would like a tone that matches your leather choice or a contrast to the strap.

8. Debossing

Up to 8 characters / case sensitive

It’s possible to include a bespoke message on your custom strap, in either blind or foiled debossing. The anOrdain logo will feature on the reverse of the buckle side of your strap as standard, with personalised messages on the reverse.

9. Keepers

All of our straps are made with a fixed keeper  (also known as stitched-in) and a floating keeper (also known as running). You may choose the type and colour of leather for each. Choosing the same leather as the main body gives cohesion, while a contrast – such as matching to your stitch or edge colour – can add personality.
