The single strip style is created using one piece of leather folded completely over itself, so that the top grain shows on both sides. A delicate stitch runs along the entire edge of the strap to secure the two ends together. 

The lined strap is crafted using two different types of leather – your chosen leather on the topside, and a lining of either black or tan Zermatt calfskin. A stitch runs along the entire edge of the strap to ensure the two are secured. Zermatt calfskin is produced by Haas Tannery, France, and has been selected for its top-grade qualities. It is double-tanned using a mineral process and is soft, supple, hypoallergenic, and resistant to scratches. It makes a supremely comfortable strap lining, which, over time, assumes a natural patina.

The unlined strap is created using one strip of leather which is glued and stitched only at the spring-bar, showcasing the flesh side of the leather on the reverse. This strap type allows for a more minimal stitching style to be used, giving a finished look that is minimal yet rustic. Some leathers may have unique markings on the flesh side, and some will be plain.

The edges are sanded before either a burnishing gum or a tone-matching dye is applied and buffed in. The treatment given will vary depending on your leather choice. This finish subtly enhances the natural colour of the leather edge.

After sanding, edge paint is precisely applied in layers, creating a lustrous semigloss finish. With multiple colour options, this finish allows for a more vibrant colour choice to be explored. Paint colour options correspond to the stitching colours within your sample box, please use these to make your selection.

Whether you choose sealed or painted, you can elect to include a crease around the perimeter of your strap and along the edge of your keepers.

Seen on most traditional watch straps, a linear stitch style is reliable and elegant.

This shares the same characteristics as linear stitching but has an added supporting stitch around the edge on each side, beneath the spring-bar.

This option allows you to choose additional stitch details unique to you. Custom details may include a second line of stitching or a specific stitch feature in a second colour. You will have the opportunity to describe your ideas if selecting this option.

The most traditional option, finished saddle stitch is uniform and slightly angled, and sits flat against the leather. Known for its durability, this stitch is stronger and more reliable than a machine stitch and only achievable by hand. 

Two-tone is similar to saddle stitch, with one small difference. Two pieces of thread are securely tied together, resulting in a two-tone effect. This stitch is perfect for a traditional look with a slight twist.

Candy cane stitch is a more distinctive variation on saddle stitch, where a second line of thread is carried through. This stitch uses four needles and requires diligence to ensure correct and secure positioning. This style sits slightly raised on the leather.
