At the heart of the Model 1 is the vitreous enamel dial, which has been the sole focus of one of our in-house enamellers from the initial cutting of the copper blank to the final printing. Each dial takes a minimum of 12 hours and many years of experience to complete.
Outside of Switzerland and Japan, we’re one of the only watchmaker’s in the world producing enamel dials in-house. Our enamelling studio has been operating since 2015, housed in a purpose built facility in the East End of Glasgow, UK
For us, the creamy off-white of Iron Cream is every bit as crisp and classical as a traditional enamel dial, with a warmth and depth that couldn’t be further from a cold white.
With their experience working to precision timing at high temperatures, our enamellers have applied themselves to mastering the craft of heat bluing. In small batches, the hands are carefully tempered to an even and consistent finish.
We kept the feel of the original print design, inspired by cartographic maps of the Highlands, making some minor updates to enhance the visual balance and legibility of the dial.
With a sliver of copper sandwiched between up to 7 layers of enamel, our dials are between two and three times the thickness of a standard painted brass watch dial. At only 11mm in depth, we've designed the case to showcase and protect the dial whilst fitting comfortably under a cuff.
The solid case back allows us to offer bespoke case engraving. Simply click ‘Custom engraving’ to enter a personalised message or map engraving.
We offer straps in a variety of materials and sizes to suit your needs. All of our straps are made in Germany by a company which has been in business for over 70 years. See our strap fitting guide here.
Driven by an ETA 2428-2 movement, this watch can easily be serviced by virtually any watchmaker.
We will regulate the movement of your watch to suit your individual needs. Simple things like knowing which wrist it will be worn on can increase the stock accuracy of the movement.
