Model 1

Blue Fumé

Secure build slot

The Model 1 with Glasgow-made fumé enamel dial, seen here in Blue. anOrdain developed this painstaking technique over several years, refining it recently to exaggerate its smoky effect and add more depth to the outer perimeter.

Outside of Switzerland and Japan, we’re one of the only watchmakers in the world producing enamel dials in-house. Our enamelling studio has been operating since 2015, housed in a purpose-built facility in the East End of Glasgow, UK.

Unique depth of colour

A favourite from our original lineup of Model 2 Fumé dials, the lighter hue of this Japanese enamel results in a vibrant tonal gradation from the bright blue centre out to a resonant indigo edge.

Heat-treated hands

Our watchmakers applied themselves to master the craft of heat tempering steel. The hands are individually polished, and then carefully tempered to create an even and consistent ‘straw’ finish.

Numerals and indices

Inspired by cartographic maps of the Highlands, the numerals and indices on the Model 1 Fumé are enhanced by the dial’s fuliginous edge.

Slim profile

Our enamel dials are between two and three times the thickness of a standard painted brass watch dial. At only 11mm in depth, we've designed the case to showcase and protect the dial whilst fitting comfortably under a cuff.

Choice of fitted straps

We offer a variety of materials and sizes to suit your needs. All of our straps are made in Germany by a company which has been in business for over 70 years. See our fitting guide.

Bespoke case engraving

The solid case back allows us to offer bespoke case engraving. Simply select the case engraving option and choose from either textual or topographical personalisation.

Choice of movements

If you prefer your watches hand-wound, your Model 1 will be powered by Sellita SW210. Alternatively, those who prefer automatic movements may choose La Joux-Perret G101.

Individually assembled and regulated

We will regulate the movement of your watch to suit your individual needs. Simple things like knowing which wrist you will wear it on can increase the stock accuracy of the movement.
