Model 3 Method

Lichen

Secure build slot

The Model 3 Method is our most technically ambitious and collaborative watch project to date. Starting life as a carved block of ash, we've translated the texture into enamel through high technology and traditional forms of making, pushing the boundaries of craft practices at every step.

The organic texture lends itself very well indeed to blue and green-hued enamels. We tested over ten different enamel powders to find the ones that worked best with the texture and finish of the silver, finally landing on two colours - the tropical and vibrant Aqua and the tranquil Lichen.

A collaboration with Method Studio

The Model 3 Method is the result of a unique collaboration with Scottish artisan cabinet and trunk makers, Method Studio.

Unique dial finish

The rippling texture of the Model 3 Method dial started life as a block of wood, carved to create a unique and organic texture.

Stamped and enamelled by hand

Through advanced 3D scanning and stamping processes, the wooden texture has been scaled down and translated into silver before being hand-enamelled in-house.

Heat-treated hands

The hands are individually polished and then carefully tempered in-house to create an even and consistent oxidised layer, protecting the metal from rust for centuries to come.

Limited edition box

Method Studio has produced a limited-edition mini watch trunk, crafted from ebonised oak, goatskin and bridle leather, available as an optional premium. We’re not adding any markup on this case to make it as affordable as possible.

Slim profile

The case design of the Model 3 is designed to accentuate the enamel dial. The case features a sleek bezel, slim profile, and lugs that subtly make reference to trench watches of years past.

Choice of fitted straps

We offer a variety of materials and sizes to suit your needs. All of our straps are made in Germany by a company which has been in business for over 70 years. See our fitting guide.

Bespoke case engraving

The solid case back allows us to offer bespoke case engraving. Simply select the case engraving option and choose from either textual or topographical personalisation.

SW300 Movement

Powered by an automatic Swiss Sellita movement, this watch can easily be serviced by virtually any watchmaker.

Individually assembled and regulated

We will regulate the movement of your watch to suit your individual needs. Simple things like knowing which wrist you will wear it on can increase the stock accuracy of the movement.
